Information about the women's institute
East Harptree Women’s Institute meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month, apart from August and December, at 7.30pm in East Harptree Theatre.
We are a friendly, supportive group who enjoy a wide variety of monthly talks or demonstrations, followed by refreshments.
We are part of the Chew Valley Group of W.I.s and normally meet collectively at least twice a year and for an outing.
We are part of the Avon Federation of W.I.s which organises a wide variety of events and visits, giving members the opportunity to try new skills and sporting activities (including walks in different parts of the Avon area), to attend plays and historical and other lectures and talks.
A monthly newsletter, Avon News, keeps members informed of events, and a national magazine, W.I. Life, is sent to all members.
We welcome new members and guests and look forward to when we can meet again.
